The D4-WPS is a professional four-channel, constant-voltage DMX512 and RDM decoder designed for outdoor, damp, and demanding commercial LED installations. Its IP67 waterproof enclosure makes it suitable for architectural lighting, landscape lighting, signage, entertainment lighting, and other moisture-prone environments.

This decoder converts DMX512 signals into four PWM constant-voltage outputs for single-color, tunable-white, RGB, or RGBW LED lighting. It accepts 12–48V DC input and provides up to 5A per channel at 12V or 24V, with a maximum total output capacity of 768W at 48V.

The integrated digital display and onboard controls provide access to the DMX starting address, decoding mode, bit depth, PWM frequency, dimming curve, signal-loss behavior, and display settings. Compatible parameters may also be configured remotely through RDM.

Important: A compatible 12–48V DC constant-voltage power supply is required and sold separately.

Stand-Alone Operation

When a DMX signal is not connected or is lost, the decoder can operate independently. The four-channel dimmer mode provides eight programmable dimming memories, with the brightness of each channel independently adjustable.

The RGB/RGBW mode includes 30 built-in programs such as static colors, color jumping, strobe effects, fades, and smooth color transitions. Program speed, overall brightness, and white-channel brightness can be adjusted using the onboard controls.

Signal-Loss Settings

The output behavior can be programmed for situations in which the DMX signal is interrupted. The decoder can maintain the last received DMX output or switch to a selected default output level from 0–100%.

High-Frequency PWM Derating

Output current must be reduced when using PWM frequencies above 8kHz:

• 16kHz: Maximum 3A per channel at 12–48V
• 32kHz at 12/24V: Maximum 2.5A per channel
• 32kHz at 36/48V: Maximum 2A per channel

Installation Notes

The decoder includes prewired power, LED output, DMX input, and DMX output leads measuring approximately 315mm.

Use a DMX signal amplifier when connecting more than 32 decoders or when operating an unusually long DMX signal line. For long cable runs or poor-quality signal lines, install a 90–120Ω, 0.25W termination resistor at the end of the DMX network.
